In order to stop your motor from vibrating during start up, as well as shifting and high rpm, your motor mounts must be replaced. In fact, the Nissan factory is aware of the poor stock engine mounts and even offer a factory Nismo SR20DET engine mount kit from the factory. However, the problem with the factory engine mount kit is that it is made from material no different from the factory mount and is only slightly stiffer.  Moreover, the factory kit offers no adjustablity. Other than the factory engine mount kit, there are other alternatives such as Cusco and Kazama engine mounts for your SR20DET, but there are obviously some drawbacks with the Japanese engine mounts.  

What are the drawbacks you ask? The Japanese mounts are designed for race applications and cannot be adjusted to suit the needs of a street driven SR20DET.  The Japanese mounts may cause excessive vibration in the chassis and may be uncomfortable for some drivers.  Many of the street driven SR20DET may find the NISMO mounts to be a good alternative, but there is one major drawback.  The drawbacks of the Nismo SR20DET mounts are that they are a one piece molded engine and it must be discarded after prolonged use.  However, the Peak Performance engine mounts only require the replacement of the urethane.  In addition, the Peak Performance engine mounts comes with two different sets of urethane to match your driving performance demands.   It includes a street and race urethane set.  It allows for the driver to start with the street setting or upgrade straight to the race version. And to top it off, it even costs less than the Japanese mounts and can be serviced here in the United States quickly and inexpensively.
