With the Peak Performance/Q Racing Nissan 240SX S14 in top shape, Robbie Nishida drove it to a 7th overall qualifying position, in the company of Vaughn Gitten Jr, Rhys Millen, and Tanner Foust. However, Robbie's first match-up against #12 qualifier Bill Sherman proved to be troublesome. With Robbie leading the first pass, the Peak Performance/Q Racing Nissan 240SX S14 drifted to an early advantage of 9-7 versus the Enjuku Racing Nissan 240SX S13. On the second pass, with Sherman leading, Robbie's "Need for Speed" didn't quite match Sherman's style and lower MPH. With Robbie within an arm's distance of Sherman for the entire second run, Robbie spun while trying to prevent the two cars from colliding. So Robbie Nishida and Team Peak Performance end the 2007 Formula Drift season in the 16th position, ready for the 2008 season in April.
